Little Ashes Sessions

We have dedicated and experienced staff with a range of interests and qualifications. We ensure a good ratio of staff to children allowing us to give time and attention to each child, and to get to know their interests and abilities.

Helen Inwood is the Pre-school leader, supported by a fantastic team of experienced staff. Helen has an NVQ Level 3 in children and young people workforce and many years of experience in working in a Pre-school, as well as having 3 children of her own.

Little Ashes operates a key person system. This means that each member of staff has a group of children that they work closely with. It’s their job to make sure your child feels safe and settled and to share information with you about how your child is progressing. However it is important that the children and parents build good relationships with all members of staff. The staff at Little Ashes work closely together to ensure this happens.

Each child has a learning journey folder to help celebrate his/her achievements at Pre-School, the folder is sent home at the end of each term for you to look through with your child and is yours to keep at the end of their time at Little Ashes.

The learning journeys contain photos and observations completed by the staff over the course of the term. These observations are linked to the EYFS and will be a record of the progress your child makes at Little Ashes.
